Because tiny sculptures are awesome!
And exactly what is a swacklecock, you ask? Well it’s a swan-grackle-peacock. With the grackle/peacock part coming from that funky tail. Although, it kinda looks like a certain Looney Tunes character, too: meep! meep!
This gal is carved from local cordova cream limestone… a very soft stone. You can tell by the sloppy initials… I’m not normally sloppy when it comes to my sculpture! It’s just very hard to make straight lines in soft stone– the density changes so fast from crystal to crystal.
Palm-sized, measurements are approximately 5″ long, 3.5″ tall, and 2″ deep.
